Privacy policy
This is a courtesy translation. The French version is the legally binding one and prevails in case of discrepancy.
Web Opteam attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. This page explains what data we collect on web-opteam.com, why, how long we keep it, which cookies are used and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR (RGPD in France).
Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Web Opteam, 249 chemin des écoliers, 69480 Lucenay, France (SIRET business identification number 930 606 330 00015), represented by Nicolas Lauwick. For any question: hello@web-opteam.com.
What data do we collect?
Only the data you send us through our contact and audit request forms:
- your name and e-mail address;
- if you provide them: your phone number, your company and your website address;
- your message and, for an audit request, the type of audit you would like;
- the page of the website from which you are writing to us, to understand the context of your request;
- your choice whether or not to receive our news (optional box, unticked by default), kept as proof of your consent.
We do not store your IP address with your request. It is only used, temporarily, to limit abusive submissions (spam protection).
Why do we use it?
To respond to your request and, where applicable, to draw up a quote and then manage any business relationship that may follow. The legal basis is your request itself (pre-contractual measures) and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We never subscribe you to any newsletter without your explicit consent.
Who has access to it?
Only the Web Opteam team has access to your requests. They are stored on our servers, hosted by OVH in France.
To process your request quickly, we also use:
- Slack (the team’s internal messaging tool): a notification containing your name and the page from which you sent your request. Slack is a US company certified under the Data Privacy Framework, which governs the transfer of data to the United States;
- Brevo (e-mail marketing tool, a French company): only if you have ticked the box “I would like to receive Web Opteam’s news”. Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link.
Your data is never sold or transferred to third parties.
How long do we keep it?
Three years from our last exchange if no business relationship is entered into, in accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL, the French data protection authority. If you become a client, the necessary data is kept for the duration of the relationship and then in accordance with legal obligations (accounting in particular).
Your rights
You may at any time access your data, have it rectified or erased, object to its processing, or request its restriction or portability. Write to us at hello@web-opteam.com or at the postal address above: we respond within one month.
If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
Cookies and trackers
A cookie is a small file saved by your browser when you visit a website. It may contain a unique identifier and information about your browsing (date of visit, pages viewed).
The website has no user accounts, no shopping basket and no login area. Your choices are collected by CookieFirst, the consent management tool displayed on your first visit: audience measurement and e-mail marketing cookies are only set with your consent, and refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time using the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
Audience measurement (with your consent)
We measure traffic to the website with Google Analytics, triggered by Google Tag Manager, to find out which pages are viewed, how visitors find us and which contact buttons are used. Google is a US company certified under the Data Privacy Framework, which governs the transfer of data to the United States. Without your consent, no Google Analytics cookie is set.
E-mail marketing (with your consent)
The tracker of Brevo, our e-mail marketing tool (a French company), links your browsing to our newsletter if you are subscribed to it, in order to send you relevant content.
List of cookies
The list below is kept up to date by CookieFirst, which scans the website regularly.
Blocking cookies from your browser
You can also block cookies in your browser settings: most browsers explain how in their help section. The website remains fully accessible without cookies.
